One of the interesting parts of my job is touring various buildings with my clients and seeing how the various landlord leasing agents represent their buildings.  Everyone has a unique approach and I have found that many times a tenant is influenced both positively and negatively by the personality and approach of the leasing agent.

A key reason to use a tenant rep broker like me is to have an advocate on your side of the table who acts as a knowledgeable buffer between you and the leasing agent.  Sometimes the leasing agent is so charming and nice, a tenant doesn’t realize that they are getting an awful deal.  Other times the leasing agent is difficult and I act as the calm go-between to keep the deal moving forward.  Many times I provide the background or reasons that explain a landlord’s baffling behavior.  Other times I catch problems before they become a crisis.
